Umutsha Beaded Belt - Zulu People, Nongoma area, South Africa (5502)

Worn by a young unmarried woman. The design is called Umginqo. it is from the Nyokeni clan in Nongoma, KwaZulu, Natal from the 1950's.

Actual beadwork is 34" in length, but with the string attachments, it is 66".
