Pair of Cowrie Shell Anklets - Kuba People, D.R. Congo

Cowrie Shell Anklets such as these were worn by royalty of the Kuba people.
Collected over 50 years ago by a Belgian living in the D.R. Congo.

Length including ties is 15 1/2", and without them is 8 1/4". Width is 2 1/2".
