The Zulu people of South Africa are long renowned for their craftsmanship and make some of the finest baskets in the world. Each basket is hand woven from indigenous fibers dyed with natural substances. These baskets are a contemporary fair trade project, supporting Zulu women and their families.
This Zulu basket was collected about 30 years ago and we are excited to offer it, as we do not see baskets in this size and style made anymore!

Included is a custom-made metal stand. Together the basket and base sit at 24" high with a diameter of 32" and depth of 20". Without the stand, the basket sits at 19" high with a diameter of 32" and depth of 20". Ex Maureen Lochtefeld collection
