Forged by expert Ngombe blacksmiths, the knives were once used as weapons and then later served as money.
Throwing knives displayed an astounding array of design variation
and each was an African invention that developed nowhere else in
the world. Since all the branches had cutting edges, they were
effective from every approach.
Several peoples like the Ngbaka, Azande and Ngombe etc used similar throwing knives.
