The Ndebele are one of the most colorful and distinctive tribes in all of Africa.They are also among the smallest tribes in South Africa. This beautifully beaded necklace belonged to a Sangoma (or diviner), the spiritual leader of the Ndebele people. it features two small beaded muti, or medicine bottles, and a central horn of a duiker antelope also used for dispensing remedies.
