This is a Lozi bowl, called an 'ìMukekaî'. The Lozi live in and around the flood
plain of the Zambezi River in the Western Province of Zambia. Among the best
known utilitarian objects, are the lidded
bowls which were made to serve and
keep the meat and vegetables warm.
