561 grams of tribal silver. Note how amazing the chain is.
The peacock is the national bird of India, symbolizing grace, pride and beauty, and a symbol of integrity of watchfulness. This sacred bird was considered a symbol of eternal life, and once roamed the place gardens. This piece features a most unusual hand-made chain.
The pendant was made using the Repousse technique, which is a metalworking technique in which thin sheets of malleable metal are shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief.
The double peacock design is rich in Hindu mythology. Peacocks are called Mayura in Hindi.
