Similar brass or bronze bracelets like this one with projecting conical elements can be found throughout Burkina Faso, (not with the Lobi) and amongst the Frafra of northern Ghana, and the Senufo people of the northern Ivory Coast.
Beautifully mounted on a customized metal base, bracelets like this were worn as a status symbol.
