Handwoven Canoe or Boat shaped bread basket. It can either hang on the wall, or be a centre piece for a table setting.
Made by the Anyuak people in the Gambela region in the western part of Ethiopia bordering Sudan. These baskets are constructed with vine composing the central core wrapped with woven palm fronds.
Nice earthy brown tones with black stripes, with all color coming from natural organic materials.
