East African Metal and Wood Axe - Makonde People

This is a wonderful vintage Makonde carved axe from Tanzania.
The head with upward curved tang set through carved wooden handle.

Height: 25" Width: 9 1/4" x Depth: 1 1/4" - it is mounted on a 4 5/8" x 4" base, and is 26 1/4" tall on its stand.
