Denny Kanyemba was born in Harare on July 24th, 1973. He started his career as a sculptor in 1987, while still in school. In his early days, Denny drew a lot of inspiration from great sculptors like Nesbit Mukomberanwa and Moses Masaya. His dedication to Shona Cultural Heritage and imagination has made his work of high demand and quality, earning the respect of senior artists, galleries, and art collectors. In Zimbabwe, Denny has hosted many exhibitions, both solo and group. “I like the idea that people appreciate my work and respect it too. They often show it besides Zimbabwe’s great sculptors. I love it.”
