The nomadic Tuareg of the Western Sahara
Desert carry many items of jewelry for protection
& guidance. The crosses are named after oasis
towns.
They are created using the lost wax casting
method. These crosses are passed from father to
son, when the son reaches puberty. The father
would say “my son, I give you the 4 corners of
the world.” (Being Nomadic, they never knew where they would end up!)
Height: 1 1/2" or 2 ⅛" including the wire x ¾" width.
