The Tuareg are sometimes called the Blue People, as their skin is blue-black, from the indigo rubbed into cloths wrapped around their faces to keep out the desert sun and sand.
The pole is a very old piece made from detailed carved wood post. Tuareg nomadic community, Sahara region being hand carved have their own unique designs. The stand would have been stuck into the sand of the desert to hold a food bowl.

It just needs to be straightened on its metal base.
