The Ndebele are one of the most
colorful tribes in all of Africa. They paint their
homes in bright geometric patterns and adorn
themselves with intricate beadwork. The beaded
adornments depicted here are all headdresses,
collected from the African Heritage Trust Collection
and predate the 1950's.
This particular ensemble has been carefully
mounted to a frame to protect its condition and quality.
