Danced by men, the mask serves to embody the ideals of feminine beauty. Maidens are the pride of their fathers, and she will walk and dance with grace & dignity to reflect her fine upbringing. The face is white, an illusion to spiritual beauty & moral purity, and symbolizes the spirits of maidens past returning to earth to ensure their family's safe arrival in the spirit world.
