Once a year, the priest would dance
wearing this helmet mask around the village in a
purification ceremony to honor the earth. The Gouin
farm millet, cassava and yams. Collected in 1994 in
Burkina Faso - from our personal collection. These are
so extremely rare, we would love to hear from anyone
in the world that has seen another.
