Edronce was born in Guruve, in 1952. He studied for four
years with his uncle, Henry Munyaradzi, who was already an
established master artist. He has gone on to develop his own
very dramatic style, since he became a professional artist in
1984. His first exhibition was held at the Standard Chartered
Gallery in Harare in 1985, and everything sold on the first day.
He is now considered one of the foremost sculptors of the
modern Shona sculpture movement.
