Famous for their intricate beadwork, the Zulu from South Africa used color and pattern to indicate position and clan affiliation. From the African Heritage Trust Collect, this piece was collected prior to the 1950's. This girdle, or skirt, is 16 x 17 inches with skins and tails. (Box 7)
