These bead are sometimes referred to as "Kano Beads".
They are said to have been made in Hebron before 1800, made with salts from the Dead Sea, and traded through Sudan.
Very few African trade beads come from Sudan; however, 'Hebron' beads are some of the very few that do. They come in several different colors and varieties. The most common are the yellow beads, followed by blue, and then the green.
The beads measure from ¼" -¾" (13 to 22mm)
