The design on these beautiful antique pendants has been hand-scribed/etched onto the silver and complemented by niello, a technique often used in traditional Moroccan jewellery using a black metallic alloy to fill the designs that have been engraved on the surface.
They would traditionally have been worn by the Amazigh, known as the Berbers in southern Morocco in a large necklace full of coral, amber, silver beads.
