20 mostly blue/ yellow trade beads.
As with most trade beads, these were made in Murano (Venice) Italy in the 1800's, and were used to trade in Africa.
Glass bead makers were forbidden, on pain of death, to reveal their secrets of how these beads were made!
They vary from ½" - ¾" (1.25cm - 2cm) with a ⅜" diameter.
