Known as blue Dutch tile beads, these were field collected by Jacques Hautelet in the Congo in the 1960's, and would have been included in a necklace worn by a high ranking Songye person. The necklace would have included ivory carvings and leopards teeth.

Each bead is about 1/4" x ½" in diameter (7 - 13mm).
